The Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority was looking to redesign one of the most popular websites in Michigan, metroparks.com. The original website had not been redesigned since 2003 and the HCMA was looking for a fresh design as well as a content management system that their staff could use to continuously maintain the site with fresh content. With millions of unique visitors per year, the chosen design firm had to produce a final product that was eye-catching, yet efficient.
Basso Design Group was selected from over 30 firms bidding to design and develop the new website and implement a custom content management system. There was a very direct focus on producing a site that was efficient, easy-to-use, yet artistically better than any other park system in the country. Basso Design group delivered on time and on budget with a site that met every goal. Once the new website was launched, a detailed and integrated search engine optimization campaign was introduced to help the parks gain attention on a national stage. The Metroparks have since seen a significant increase in year-over-year traffic, and we are thrilled to be their web partner.
